Used Adjustable Beds

Adjustable beds continue to grow in popularity. Prices now rival those of standard beds. The growth of the retail adjustable bed industry has sparked an escalating second-hand market for adjustable bed bases and mattresses.

As a rule, you should never purchase a used mattress of any kind. You may be inheriting some one else's creepy crawlies. Mattresses can have many areas that are impossible to cleanse. Also, most people do not rotate their mattresses regularly so they tend to conform to the shape of their body.

As far as used bed bases are concerned, it will probably come down to just how old it is. The technology and materials have improved drastically over the last several years and chances are a used adjustable bed will be inferior to a current model. There are also more options such as massage, or custom options that may be better suited for you that the used one does not have.

The warranties on adjustable beds are also non-transferable. If you are going to want a valid warranty and any in-home service that the manufacturer offers, you will have to buy an adjustable bed new. It is best to purchase a new adjustable bed that comes in the right size and options for you as well as coming with the full warranty. Don't risk inheriting someone else's problem to save a few dollars.
